Megan Valandingham is a journalist who grew up in East Tennessee and reports on the rich culture and history of the Appalachian region along with the local events and news of the area.

She is earning a Master of Arts degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.

She has a passion for her community and wants to focus her content on Appalachian and Southern culture and history in the East Tennessee region.

She will remain unbiased and stay truthful as she writes her stories for her blog. With help from local communities in the Appalachian and Southern region and research from trustworthy sources either online or tangible evidence, She will build a blog for history and geography lovers of any age or gender who consume their media through online videos and blog posts. 

She is the author of a short story collection, "Why He's Late and Other Stories," and has self-published several others.
